5 Year Journal Day 294

Today's prompt is "What was your last credit card purchase?" I bought a mattress protector from Amazon.

It is now 12:26 p.m. on Friday. Caleb has just started the second day of his end of year testing. I am sitting next to him as he takes his test. He is currently on Part one of Reading and Comprehension. He was supposed to be doing Part two today, but I noticed that he did not finish his test part from yesterday. He quit early, with 19 minutes to spare, thinking he was finished. I should have checked to make sure he finished all the way to the "Stop" sign.

I have a timer set for 19 minutes for him to complete Part one. He will then do Part two of Reading and Comprehension.

Last Friday we drove to Lumberton to visit my dad. I  told him I wanted to bring food over because I made too much and had no room in the freezer. I also wanted to be able to spray his room with bug spray that is essential oils based. We packed to stay for 2 days, and brought Bella with us. We were able to get an account open at a local bank for him on Friday. We had dinner at Golden Corral and I ate until I couldn't eat anymore!! I have wanted to go to Golden Corral for a while now. Saturday, Caleb cleaned out the Mazda of all the trash he has been collecting in there. Dad got some personal grooming done: haircut, mustache and eyebrows trimmed. We ate dinner at the Zorba's Greek restaurant in Fayetteville. It was delicious! I love spanikopita and baked feta! I had the gyro plate with extra large salad. Sunday we ate at Ruan's Bistro. It is an Asian Bistro. I ordered the hibachi steak and shrimp, and it was delicious!

We enjoyed being with family for the Memorial Day weekend , but had to come home on Sunday afternoon in order to get the trash and recycling bins to the road in time for pickup on Monday morning. On Memorial Day, Monday, I was exhausted and slept all day long. The mattress at the motel is not very supportive, and my back was killing me every night.

Tuesday I managed to go to Walmart and do some grocery shopping. I ended up going to Harris Teeter and Food Lion as well. I spent all day out of the house, and was too far behind in kitchen cleaning to cook dinner like I wanted. I ate the leftover Greek seasoned chicken, bell peppers, and rice for dinner.

Wednesday I needed to recover from all the running around on Tuesday. I was slow to move, but did manage to get alot of cleaning done in the kitchen. I was able to cook a big dinner too. We had the ribeye steaks, shrimp, and Bay scallops that I bought on sale with zucchini squash, yellow squash, and yellow onions, with Brazilian style rice! OMG Delicious!

Thursday I continued to clean up around the house. I continued to wash the laundry as I had started to do that early in the week. I picked up trash in my room and by the dining table where I sit. I tried to clean the kitchen floor a bit too. I ran the dishwasher again. I was just going and going.

This week has been a very productive week for me. I can now see the carpet in my bedroom, and have been able to shop vac most of the floor in there. The mountain of dirty of clothes has been reduced to a pile of laundry. My clean clothes are mostly put away properly, and not left folded in baskets. Caleb's clothes are in baskets and ready to be put where they belong. I have been able to wash multiple blankets and many towels that had disappeared. Lots of bags of trash have been removed from the house and recycling too. I am still trying to get Caleb to break down all the boxes we have collected and put them with the recycling.

I woke up early in the morning to a thunder storm today. I couldn't sleep and Bella was scared. I eventually decided to get up and shape my eyebrows and tweeze my beard and mustache. Looks good now. I then went and laid down and fell asleep again. I did not wake up until about 10:30 this morning. Caleb was gone. SMH

I am sure I have missed alot of details in trying to remember what has happened in the past week. My memory isn't what it use to be.

I need to start blogging again when I wake up at 2:00 in the morning and have nothing else to do. I have been doing laundry when I get up, but there is only one basket of laundry to do at a time.

I can't wait to be done with Caleb's testing. It is hard to sit here and just watch him read. Part one and Part two of the reading and comprehension sections are the longest. Once we get those out the way, it should be easier.

I still have laundry to do today, but I am almost done. I am collecting the laundry that I have been meaning to donate too and getting it ready to go. I am working on getting my bedroom floor picked up and shop vac'd a little at a time because it hurts my back to bend over for so long to vacuum.  Once again, I have lots of dishes to wash, and a kitchen to clean. Caleb does not clean up after himself, and creates more work for me to do. I am never done. The bathroom needs to clean from top to bottom. I probably won't get to that today if I am working on my bedroom first. Both take a toll on my back.

Aunt Lisa is expected to arrive on June 12th, which is next weekend. She is going to Myrtle Beach for a family member or friend's anniversary celebration. My cousins are travelling with her. I do not know if Uncle Andy is coming yet. They will drive here to visit for a day, so I am trying to make sure the house is mostly clean by then. So I have about 7 days or so to get my house squared away to have visitors. At the same time, I am trying to get all of Caleb's testing done and over with.

I bought a string bikini from Lane Bryant !!! LOL It's fab-U-lous! I can't wait to see what I look like in it.

Bella is still sweet as ever.

Caleb is growing fast. I secured a spot for him to go on a kids' pony ride in the water in July. I am excited for him to be able to go. It's not something that everybody gets to do in their lifetime.

I talked to my mom yesterday as it was her day off work. She sent me photos of Sherri's boys, Reese and Bryson. They are now 4 and 2 years old. Sophia, Eric's daughter, has a birthday coming up. She turns one this year. Mathew still does not talk to me, and neither do his family members. Sherri still has me blocked. I messaged Eric on facebook today, and am waiting to see if he will answer.

I have been helping my dad alot lately. I send his secure messages to his providers and order his medications through myhealthevet for him since he can't see. I also, when I visit, drive him to whereever he may need to go. I talk to him multiple times throughout the day, mostly just for fun and to check in. I don't have many people I can talk to during the day, because most people are working.

I mostly completed the Rose Priestess Academy. I have one video to watch and I will be done. I started watching it, but the phone battery was going to die, so I stopped. Anyway, I have been awarded the certificate of completion and title of Rose Priestess. We worked with Mother Mary (white rose), Lady Nada (pink rose), and Mary Magdalene (red rose). I was not able to keep up with all the assignments, so I am still working on the first workbook for the white rose embodiment. It's a life long process, so I am taking my time to do it right. Alot of the steps have to be done more than once. They are mostly dealing with healing energies and meditations.

I am just not in the mood for anything today. Chinese buffet here I come!
