Today's prompt is "Snuggle down or go out and play?" Lately I have been snuggling down. It has been too hot for me to go out and play.
Yesterday I had a fibromyalgia flare up as a result of the nerves being beaten up by the day before. I was so tired and achy. I slept through a great portion of the day. I could not get anything done. I did wash a few dishes and cleaned a little bit in the kitchen at the end of the day, before I began to cook dinner. I made Caleb the "Greek God" sausages from Lowe's Foods for dinner. I made myself a ribeye steak that I bought on sale a few days ago and skewers of tri-color bell peppers, vidalia onions, white mushrooms, and baby bella mushrooms. I cooked Caleb's food while preparing to grill my food. I cooked his sausages in a frying pan. That worked out pretty good, because I was busy doing prep-work while I waited for the sausages to cook. After I was finished prepping and the sausages were fully cooked, we went outside to grill my dinner. The ignite button was not functioning, and so I told Caleb to go get me a lighter. Stupidly, we started all three propane outlets on the grill before I lit the grill lighter inside the grill. Big flames right away! All the burners were on maximum output to be able to catch fire. I haven't grilled in more than 20 years, on a regular basis. I forgot the simple safety measures I use to take when starting the grill we had as I was growing up. First, you only need one propane outlet on to get the grill started with a lighter. Second, it doesn't need to be at a high output to catch fire. Ugh! I could have caught my hand on fire!
As if that wasn't enough, I burned my finger tips while moving a metal skewer from reaching outside the pan, to being inside the pan. I did not think about the fact that the skewer just came out of 500 degree heat!
The food was delicious though.
Yeah, I spent alot of the day in bed with Bella. She doesn't mind. As a matter of fact, I think she prefers it when it gets hot outside. Yesterday was another heat advisory day. Today is another heat advisory day.
I have an online therapy appointment with a VA therapist in bout 30 minutes. After that we have to go to the Wilmington VA so i can do my physical therapy. Caleb asked if he has to go in, and I told him that today is a heat advisory day so he can not stay in the car while I am inside for my appointment. He needs to be in the air conditioning, not in the car , even though I keep it running with the air conditioning on.
Today is the big launch for my first published writing! It will be on Amazon at approximately 10 am EST, and we will run our Best-Seller campaign then. I will post links to my facebook and to my instagram.
I rested yesterday in preparation for today and tomorrow. Tomorrow I have my psych eval appointment and that will last a few hours. Caleb will have his laptop both today and tomorrow to keep him out of trouble while waiting for me at the VA.
I feel alot better today. I am not feeling the Covid-19 symptoms anymore. Thank God for that! I am not feeling like I am having a fibromyalgia flare up today either.
I still haven't cleared the living room of clutter on the floor. I don't know when I am going to get to that. I hate it though. I hate looking at it. The dishwasher is still broken. I don't know when the parts will arrive. No one has contacted me about it. I have a long list of things on my to do list. It's exhausting just to look at it. I wish I had help. I could really use someone who makes me laugh because that prompts me to work. GO ARMY! LOL
Let's see, it's now 0835. Once my appointment begins, my day takes off. I have to leave to drive to Wilmington right after this appointment. I met my physical therapist online a couple of weeks ago. he seems like a nice person. Physical therapy should be helpful with my chronic pains.
I've done most of my morning routines. Took glucose reading, took medications, did self-Reiki, said my prayers, ate breakfast, did most of my personal hygiene, put on my jewelry, read my 5 top stretch values... reminded Caleb to feed Bubba, and let the dogs out. Who let the dogs out? woof woof woof woof woof? Caleb let the dogs out! (sings) LOL
Time to go! Be blessed!
