5 Year Journal Day 227

Today's prompt is " Did you complete your to-do list for today?"  No, I did not. I wanted to wash the few dishes I have left to wash to donate, and also pick up some trash. I did neither.

It is now 12:50 a.m. here. Yesterday I did not do much. We left the house around 1:30 p.m. to go to Caleb's dental appointment in Wilmington. We got to Wilmington earlier than I expected, so we stopped at Billy Gore's house to drop off the cookware. We did not have alot of time before Caleb's appointment, so we did not stay long. We then went to Caleb's dental appointment. We got good news from the dentist. Caleb has no cavities! He was worried about one of his molars, but they said there was nothing to worry about. The dentist is referring Caleb to an orthodontist for braces.

On the way home, we stopped at Harris Teeter. They had Dew on sale, and I was running out and needed more. I went in for Dew and carrots, and came out with those plus Fuji apples, sweet potatoes, Yukon gold potatoes, mushrooms, salad dressing, fried chicken and shrimp. They were on sale, and I have plans.

We came home and I immediately began to prepare 3 carrots and 1 small sweet potato to be steamed. I found a steam basket while I was cleaning the kitchen the other day. I cut the carrots and the sweet potato into bite size pieces and steamed them. I then poured the steamed pieces into a container and added Squeezable ginger and began to mash the carrots, sweet potato, and ginger together.

My idea was to take more ingredients from Dr. Marty's ingredient list and add them to Bella's food to see if she would like it. I took about 2 fork fulls of the veggie mix and added it to her dry food kibble with one cut up slice of beef liver. The ginger is supposed to help with bloat and gas. It was an experiment that I loved to try.

I gave Bella the mixed blend and watched to see how she would react. She licked the bowl clean! I was so happy!

I made enough veggie mix to last about a week at that portion. She is not supposed to have much vegetable , and mostly raw meat. I have not tried other raw meats yet, but I knew the beef liver would be nutritious, and wanted to try that one first. I think we will try raw chicken meat next week.

I would like to come up with a plan to rotate her meals so she is not eating the same things every day, and is still getting what she needs to not be constipated, or have diarrhea, or gas, not have allergies, not vomit, and be happy and healthy.

So that was our day. Not very eventful, but ended well.

Today we have no appointments. I would like to wash the remaining dishes and pick up as much trash as I can from the floor and have Caleb take it out of the house. I would also like to get started on the laundry again. I need to wash my mattress protector but am afraid to do that without a backup mattress protector to cover the mattress while that one is being washed. I wish I had my stimulus check. I could buy what I need.

The Mazda battery needs to be replaced. it is not holding a charge but for a few days at a time. I need to look up and see how much a new battery costs these days.

Caleb woke up when I did. He has a "mommy is not sleeping" radar within him.

I am planning on trying to quit vaping again. I am waiting for the right time. I have things in mind that I want to do and/or have in my possession before I attempt the hard task of quitting.

I do not think I will ever be able to quit the Dew. I can't stay awake during the day without it. I am just not willing to live that way.

I would like to invest in a far infrared sauna blanket to use after I exercise. I use to use a body wrap after my workouts when I was exercising regularly 7 years ago. It really helps keep the pain level down so I can continue to do things that are physically challenging.

I want to reorganize the house, one room at a time. I want to get rid of all things I do not need or want. There is still stuff from my dad and Sharon on the porch that I have to go through. I need to repack my Army uniforms in my duffel bag and put them in the shed. I need to gut the spare bedroom closet of my stuff, and get rid of stuff that I can no longer use. I then want to use the spare room to house the things I want to sell on Poshmark. That will help keep me organized.

I have been feeling pretty good overall lately. I hope I can continue to make improvements to my health. I really enjoy the days when I can get work done. I have waited so long to be able to catch up on my cleaning and de-cluttering.

I watched the December Maiden Circle video by Ethony yesterday morning. I still have alot to do to catch up. I should go see the new workbook for this month.

I have to take my iron pill and orange juice before I finish for the morning.
