Today's prompt is " What's your favorite piece of clothing?" I love my dresses.
It is now 5:42 a.m. here. Yesterday I slept in. I did not want to get up. It was about 11:30 a.m. when I did get up. I decided to make beef bone broth to use for my vegetable soup that I wanted to make. I am using beef soup bones I found in the freezer section of Food Lion, next to the beef liver. I filled my 10 qt. stockpot with water, and added the bones. I decided to add black pepper and Italian seasoning herbs to the water because it takes time to bring out the flavor of the herbs into the water.
I had my MOVE follow-up telephone appointment at 1:00 p.m. About 30 minutes into the class, I had a call from Detective Higgins at the Oak Island Police. He was calling to update me and let me know that he reached the Army Investigator, Mr. Thomas, and that Mr. Thomas would be calling me sometime this week.
The phone call wracked my nerves and I felt like maybe a panic attack was coming. I quickly tried to distract myself, so I listened to my voice mail. I had a call from the Mazda dealership and decided to call back. In the conversation, I found out that I did not have to replace my key fob, probably only needed to change the battery. The cost for that is only $5.00 plus tax! I was so happy! I quickly got ready and drove all the way to to the dealership in Wilmington. I have been with a non-working car remote key for more than a month. You don't realize how much you use something until you can't use it anymore.
I called Billy Gore up and let him know I was coming to Wilmington, to find out if he needed to handle any business. He did need to run errands. I handled my business then went to pick him up. I drove him to his accountant's office first. Then we went to Walmart, and then to Sam's Club. After that, we drove back to his house to drop off the groceries he bought at Sam's Club, and stopped at Speedway on the way. Then I drove him to Food Lion, and back home again.
I was getting hungry and my back was hurting at Sam's Club, so Billy bought us sushi. I had only had a small breakfast of blueberries and fat free cottage cheese up until that point, and it was our normal dinner time.
He was very appreciative, and gave me gas money. It was dark and drizzling rain when I left to come home. I did not get home until about 7:30 p.m. \
I started boiling the soup bones again, and made myself a bowl of the remainder of the leftover salad for dinner. I took my medications, fed Bella, and went to bed.
Bella had chicken livers, ginger veggies, and kibble, and scarfed down her dinner!
I forgot that I weighed in yesterday morning. I weighed in at 325lbs., down from 327.8lbs. the previous week.
So, overall, I had a good and productive day. I am proud of myself for not letting my emotions control me. I acted quickly and changed my environment. I did not spiral out of control.
I woke up alot during the night. One of the times I woke up with inflamed knees, burning hot, bright red and hurting.
I am on day 4 of my period, and I am not having alot of trouble with it. I am grateful for that. My period weeks came be weeks of Hell, which is why I normally skip them if I can.
Caleb woke up when I came to the computer. He is finally leaving me alone. It is too early to answer his questions.
I don't have veggies made for Bella for her dinner. I will have to cook more when I get home this afternoon.
Today we are taking my friend, Donna, to the airport in Myrtle Beach, SC. I am more confident about our trip now that the battery has been replaced, the oil changed, and the gas tank filled. I hate the traffic in Myrtle Beach. I absolutely hate it. Her daughter-in-law found out she has a broken back and a body full of cancer, and won't survive it. Donna is going to support her son and grandson.
I have been tracking my glucose readings in the morning for the VA pharmacist. I am going to check it in a little while. It has ranged between 238 and 335, and that's before breakfast. I just started taking the Spironolactone and lower dose of Lisinopril 3 days ago. I don't know how quickly the change will reflect in my glucose numbers, but I would expect it to be immediate.
Another great thing about yesterday is that is was the first day of NO SODA. Yep! I can't believe it either, but it's true. No soda for me. I drank my flavored water with caffeine and electrolytes all day. I carry my 2.2. liter water jug with me everywhere, and just sip throughout the day.
I also remembered to take care of my teeth before I went to bed. So I flossed, brushed, and rinsed, and NO BLOOD! Awesomeness! I have a dental appointment coming up in a couple of weeks. I am sure the dentist will be happy for me.
So I got an email from Senator Thom Tillis and it says something like we should receive our checks by January 15th. Today is the 12th, so I am praying that I get mine within the next few days.
Well, the bills are paid for now, there is food in the house, and gas in the cars, and I have a few dollars to get by. I am happy. Please don't let me have any unexpected expenses. The only way I could be happier... is if I could get my house cleaned up! LOL For sure.
There are no appointments for this week. Tomorrow I hope to finish making my vegetable soup. I will spend the afternoon continuing to boil the bones and herbs today. I have to make Bella more mashed carrot and sweet potato with ginger for her dinners. I forgot to water the plants yesterday.
I took my iron pill earlier this morning when I woke up one of the other times. It's going to be a busy day again today. My alarm that I set to make sure I was up in enough time to do my morning routine before leaving, has already gone off. I have plenty of time to do anything I need to do. I leave the house at 10:00, and it is only 7:13 a.m.
I have to make sure I bring my water with me. I guess I should go ahead and get started.
