5 Year Journal Day 145

Today's prompt is "What motivated you today?" Bella's vet appointment.

It is now 3:15 a.m. and I am wide awake. I did get some rest finally. I was in so much pain when I laid down, I thought I would never be able to sleep. I have my weighted blanket on me, then the new comforter, then Caleb's weighted blanket balled up on my belly, Bella resting on my right leg, and Caleb resting on my side/belly. It was almost enough pressure. I hurt everywhere. My back was especially was in pain. I could not get comfortable. Here it is though, 3 something in the morning and the pain has disappeared completely. Thank God!

Yesterday we got up early to take Bella to the vet. She had an appointment to get some shots. It takes us a long time to get ready in the morning. Bella was excited to go for a ride. She was happy in the Mazda. She apparently tried to drag the vet tech around the vet's office! Oh Bella! People are not allowed in there yet because of COVID-19. So the vet tech had to take her from the Mazda to bring her inside.

We did not do much with the rest of the day. We went back out to get Caleb's prescription from the pharmacy. While we were out, I stopped at Walmart to pick up some ginger root. When we came home, I made my creation. It was kale, spinach, cabbage, onion, ginger root, ham, and seasonings. It turned out wonderfully! Delicious! It took me an hour to prepare the food because the kale and the spinach had to be rinsed off one leaf at a time, and the leaves removed from the stalks. It was worth it though.

I tried to stay awake all day, but 2 p.m. came, and I had to go take a nap. I could not stay up any longer. When I got up, dinner was almost ready in the crock pot. I pretty much had a taste of the soup and then took my medications and went to bed. I was exhausted.

I weighed each vegetable, except the ginger root, before I added it to the crock pot. I weighed them in ounces, and now I know better. I ended up having to convert ounces to grams before I could correctly put the ingredients to my recipe in myFitnessPal. What a pain in the ass!

I watched Sunday's sermon online. I have to watch the sermon and read the discussion questions prior to the Moms' church group on Thursday. We are going this Thursday, and I will actually be prepared.

There's not much else to note about yesterday. Today Caleb has an appointment in the afternoon. He did not cooperate to get some math studying done yesterday. I will try again today.
