5 Year Journal Day 17

Today's prompt is "What's the oldest thing you are wearing?" The oldest thing I am wearing is probably my shorts. I bought them as I was gaining weight quickly and I was tired of having to buy new clothes to fit. These shorts are very big, because I thought I would continue to get bigger. Caleb laughs when I pull them up over my belly (very high), to keep them from falling down. They are comfortable so I wear them a lot. They are cheap so I wear them to every day tasks around the house with no worries of ruining them.

This morning I am the worst diabetic ever. I ate a honey bun. Caleb offered me the rest of his honey bun when I woke up just now, and yummm, delicious. I just had to have a whole one! Bad diabetic Jennifer! Bad!

So today was a challenge. I was feeling better but Caleb wanted to argue a lot about helping me clean the house. I was cleaning the kitchen, and wanted him to help. He really put up resistance. I stayed calm, but was getting frustrated internally. He did end up helping, just not as much as I wanted. Baby steps.

On Thursday I have another IEP meeting with his teachers. I am not looking forward it to it, even though my last experience was a good one.

We listened to music, and Caleb chose what we listened to. I was very proud to hear his choices were from Pink Floyd, Matisyahu, and A Perfect Circle. Influencing his music choices is very important to me on a level I cannot explain. When he was younger, I took him to his first concert. I took him to see a Pink Floyd laser show! It was so much fun! He was one of the youngest people there LOL. I also have taken him to a Matisyahu concert. I gave him a selection of my music library on his phone. I love to sing. So he asks me to sing with the music he plays, and I do. It helps me clear my energetic field, and feel alive. I use to sing every where I went, even before the Army. I love music.

I have collected some random photos to add.

Just because I choose not to protest out in public with the masses, doesn't mean I don't stand for racial equality. Don't get it twisted my brothers and sisters.
